Anna Vayman is Associate Professor of Violin at Ball State University and a member of American Piano Trio. A native of St Petersburg, Russia Anna Vayman made her solo debut at the age of eleven with Omsk Symphony Orchestra in Russia. Since then she has been a soloist with various major orchestras. Highlights of her career include solo performances under the baton of leading conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Yury Temirkanov and Gianandrea Noseda. An active recitalist and chamber musician, Ms.Vayman has appeared on numerous international music festivals including International Music Festival in Lucca, Italy; Musical Spring Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia; Mikkele International Music Festival in Finland; Red Sea International Music Festival in Israel; and Rotterdam Philharmonic Festival, Netherlands.

Ms. Vayman came to Ball State University from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she taught violin, chamber music and orchestral repertoire class. Her former students enjoy successful careers in higher education, symphony orchestras and K-12 music education. Prior to joining the CCM violin faculty Ms. Vayman has held a prestigious position of an Assistant Concertmistress of the renowned Kirov Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia. She has toured internationally with the orchestra, performing at Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Opera, Avery Fisher Hall, Kennedy Center, Hollywood Bowl, Covent Garden, Vienna Philharmonic Hall, Madrid Opera House, Santory Hall, Tanglewood Festival, Theatro La Scala and Concertgebouw among other venues.

Ms. Vayman began her violin studies at the age of six at the St. Petersburg Music School for Gifted Children .She earned her Master of Music Diploma with Honors under Mikhail Gantvarg at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. On the invitation of Isaac Stern she attended Aspen Music Festival as a fellowship recipient. A winner of CCM Concerto Competition she received her Artist Diploma from the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music where her teachers included Henry Meyer, Kurt Sassmannshaus and Dorothy Delay. She has enjoyed private studies with Isaac Stern and Igor Oistrach, and chamber music studies with members of Taneev Quartet, LaSalle Quartet, Tokyo String Quartet and Zehetmair Quartet.
